  1. Great Vid!

  2. Congrats are to Dana (and imshin, of course), Robert!

  3. An excruciating and embarassing video. Very stupid. Definitely counterproductive.

  4. Do you want to embellish that comment, LZ?

  5. Why give ammunition to the enemy? You don’t see how narcissistically and egotistically godawful it is, and Dana is, because it serves your purposes…except it doesn’t. As to why it doesn’t, may you forever wonder.

  6. Guess so.

  7. Anything that undermines LZ’s one-sided view of the world is “excruciating and embarrassing”.

Go on, LZ, gives us another pontificating non-sequitur to ponder.

  8. Poor Dana seems to be afflicted with a one-sided view of the world. She sends six minutes describing her feelings of terror at bombs lobbing by her swimming pool, or wherever, without once speculating or musing on why this might be so. No wonder she is traumatised. She should sue the Israeli education department.

  9. Well, you explain to us ‘why this might be so’. Get a march on the Israeli education department.

  10. Of course, for an European outpost in a non-European part of the world, Israel rates poorly in the world gender equity stakes, so her poor education has no doubt been compounded by sex discrimination.

  11. “Poor Dana seems to be afflicted with a one-sided view of the world. LZ, you are a parody. You and your ilk waste bandwidth concerning the IDF action in Gaza “without once speculating or musing on why” the response may be well deserved.

I mean, really. It’s as if you don’t think through anything you’ve drafted before you hit ‘submit’. Perhaps irony, for you, is a small town in Lombardy?

  12. “Of course, for an European outpost in a non-European part of the world, Israel rates poorly in the world gender equity stakes, so her poor education has no doubt been compounded by sex discrimination.”

That was a particularly stupid post. You need to pull yourself together.

  13. well many Israeli women would agree with my general point about gender equity or rather the lack of it in the religious state of Israel, but then, what would they know.

  14. Why not answer the question I asked, LZ? And what about some commentary on the status of women in Gaza and the West Bank,if you insist on going OT?

  15. Certainly there are issues amongst the fundamentalists, but Israel is a secular state with women in politics, the military, the media and academia – at senior levels. If you ever visit you will find for yourself that women have more rights than they do in, say, Switzerland, where husbands have control over their finances and other matters.

But why don’t you get your hand off it and contrast the status of women in Israel with the status of women under Hamas? No, I thought not.

Once again you post before you’ve engage your intellect.

  16. Your repeated slurs and derogatory references to the intellect of your interlocuters rather proves my point.

I haven’t said a word about the status of women in Palestine because I wasn’t comparing their status to that of women in Israel. This is a complete diversion and I might add a tactic which you over-employ in polemics. Advice: It fools no-one.

I’d be interested if you put up a post on the status of women in Israeli society, something I doubt you boys know or care about, but which is a particular interest of mine and let’s see then who knows what.

    I dare you!

  17. You still haven’t answered the question.

What you suggest sounds like a good idea for a post and I’ll do some research and put one up. Or would you like to send in a guest post? Happy to look at it, if so.

But I’d still like an answer to the question: “Well, you explain to us ‘why this might be so’.”

  18. “You need to pull yourself together.”

Do you think I might implode?

  19. Thanks for the advice on polemics. Now here’s some advice for you in return: if you want people to take you seriously, offer reasoned arguments and HARD evidence (links would be nice). Don’t come in and demand that others dance to your tune. Rob has posted his material, now respond to it. Refute it, agree with it, whatever. But don’t expect people to take kindly to your tedious non-sequiturs, rambling faux intellectual allusions and demands for us to dance like monkeys for your amusement.

  20. You are going OT, Rob. The subject of this post is Dana’s take on what is going on, not mine.

What does the poor lass apparently have no frigging idea why homemade rockets are lobbying by her swimming pool? Truly, the mind boggles at her appalling ignorance.

  21. I have responded to Rob’s post AC. Sure I could say a lot more. But I need a bit of encouragement. Have you anything at all to say about the substance of my comments other than ridiculous abuse and non sequiturs (logic)? Or did you not understand what I said, perhaps? If you disagree, tell me why, please. It’s the usual way in civilised discourse.

  22. And so he spins us, round and round.
